Book Fair Certificates

We donated a little over $400 to the school to sponsor Free Book Certificates for the Scholastic Book Fair. Two certificates were made available for each class to be distributed at the discretion of their teacher. The teachers were able to select two of their students who would benefit from the gift.

A message from Mollie Amundson, District Librarian:
”Thank you so much for your generous support of book gift certificates for the Scholastic Book Fair! With your donation, we were able to give 2 students in each class a free book (or two, since some of the books were under $5), and also provide books for some of our teacher wish lists.

One of our teachers pulled me aside on Wednesday and shared, "I just want to thank you for those certificates! Giving them to my two students brought me so much JOY!"  She went on to share how excited her students were to pick something out on their own, and then commented, "I hated to do it, but I had to ask one of my students to put his book away during a lesson....he just wanted to read his new book fair book!"
